I really like the writing style and the plot. Once I started to read the book, I couldn’t stop  until I had read the whole 26 chapters existing so far. Being not too far from retirement age myself, I really felt like wanting to apply and be part of it. What I love about this book is that it plays with some –usually unacknowledged– ideas and desires that probably will live in many of us: the generosity of the main character, the common sense that he expresses, the thrill of (as a reader) being part of activities that ‘correct’ political absurdities (at least that’s what is being suggested; it might as well go very wrong!).
And it’s just very well written: if it were printed on paper, it would be a 'page-turner.’ Now I’m looking for each new chapter to arrive on my phone.

I’m not usually an aficionado of the dark thriller genre, though I’ll happily make an exception where the emphasis is on snappy dialogue, a clever plot, and above all for me, finely drawn characters, rather than the staple fare of stylized sex and violence.

Michael writes very well, with an insight into his subject matter. Having reached chapter 20, the plot is only gradually unfolding- as the author intended-, the pace of events is quickening, but not at all haphazardly, and the characters are being allowed to breathe a little and reveal some of their personalities and motivations.

I’m hooked on the format, impatiently awaiting the next chapter like a Dickensian reader of old! Good job Michael and I’m looking forward to seeing how things develop from here. Jim Stevenson, England
